Work begins to build a 200MW biomass power station for renewable energy generation in Japan.
The Future in the Hands of Those Who Invest into a Biomass Power Station
The western region of Japan will be benefitting from a brand new 200MW biomass power station thanks to Mitsubishi Corporation Power and Kansai Electric Power. The project will be concluded for the joint venture Aioi Bioenergy Corporation, which was formed by the above-mentioned corporations. Although the biomass power station project is still at the early stages, it shows that the Asian region is persistently investing into renewable energy – to be more precise, into biomass energy.
Minimising Carbon Emission
Other than the evident benefit of having clean, sustainable and renewable energy, Japan will benefit from a reduction of carbon dioxide emission. The unit will be utilising natural pellets for sourcing their fuel, allowing the biomass power station facility to operate with a minor carbon footprint.
How Close is the Renewable Energy Future?
The Japanese biomass generation station is expected to be operating for approximately 20 years, starting from as early as the beginning of 2023.
